The gathering
Released Summer 2026
This collection was made during my first real season of freedom in almost 9 years.
After selling our pottery studio in lacombe ab in January, life suddenly became much bigger than the walls i had spent so many years inside. We travelled to Vancouver Island twice, wandered through Northern BC and down through the Icefields, through Fernie (hometown) an the Crowsnest Pass, camped with new friends, spent days at the beach, paddleboarded, wandered farmers markets, played outside and nearly got caught in a tornado somewhere along the way.
I didnt realize it while i was making this collection, but that freedom found its way into the clay.
There were birds everywhere, creatures made for leaving and returning., carrying that same restless pull towards somewhere new. Suns and moons appeared again and again, marking days that suddenly felt like they belonged to me. Even the vessels themselves became little things meant to gather ad hold: mugs, vases, and canisters made during a season when i was gathering experiences instead of simply moving from one responsibility to the next.
I loved the sun this year. I loved being outside. I loved travelling. I loved finding new people and new places.
The Gathering became a collection about movement, connection and discovering how much of myself was still out there waiting to be found.
